I am very perplexed report on breast self exams and mammographies.  I am a young breast cancer survivor. My cancer was caught early. I believe that this is just a ploy not to pay for breast health with women. We have fought many years to get proper healthcare and now you take this away from us. Our organization deal with this daily (Woman to Woman Breast Cancer Foundation). Women are getting breast cancer earlier, especially those of ethnic backgrounds. I think this is barbaric thinking. We have data proving that early detection saves lives. Breast self exams have saved many women lives. They have felt lumps and caught their cancer earlier. I was 39 when I was diagnosed with stage 1 LCIS Breast Cancer. I lost a good friend at age 33, I have a niece who is stage 3 and she is losing both breast.
